Use Section breaks to change the layout for part of a document.
Go to Insert on the Main Menu and choose Break. In the bottom portion choose Continuous so have can have a paragraph of text and then insert the section break to have the rest of the page done in a totally different way (use columns or even move your margins). You will see other options as well to start a new section on a new page or have sections for even and odd pages. A great shortcut (you know I love those!) to quickly insert a page break is Ctrl +Enter. Hitting the Enter key over and over is really not that efficient... If your text is in columns and you want to force some text to the next column, insert a Column Break for a smooth transition. Donna Harwood, The Office Tutor www.theofficetutor.com 905-898-1415 |
