| Support/Partner | |
| Connecting people who are Honest, Ethical and Caring who have Business, Mentoring & Life skills. Creating an atmosphere where business happens naturally. | |
| Because of the increasing number of women starting a business and the lack of support in understanding their needs. WINGS was create based on the feedback from such women. | |
| (1) Knowing how to run a business:
I took training when ever and where ever it was available and completed a York University course on business. (2) How to balance Family & Business: I consulted with those who had that challenge and learned how they coped. (3) Computers: I felt like I was being left behind so I took courses to learn somewhat how to operate one. It still is one of my on going challenges as things change so quickly in that world. (4) Keeping up with the ever changing technology: I surround myself with people like Scott & Jen and other Associates who understand this world and who keep me updated on what I NEED to know and who provide support and training. I also delegate things that others do better than me and focus on what I need and like to do. |
|
| Coach:
When I had my chain of salons I could have used the service of a professional coach but there was no such thing at that time. Mentors: When I have my beauty salon business I consulted on a regular bases with my peers. Mentors are important to your business success that is why we like to have a mentors segment at our meetings. |

*Stand firm on your values and principles *Don't try to do it all yourself Look for partners where there is a win win situation *Avoid over working in your business and not on your business *Don't become overly anxious *Keep a good balance and put first things first. 1st: Spiritual needs 2nd: Family,Friends 3rd: Business. Remember:No one on their death bed ever said "I wish I had spent more time on my business" but rather the say "I wish I had got to know my God, my Family and spent more time with my friends. |
