The next NetWeavers Walk will be help in Bradford Sat. June 20th 9 AM watch for the locaton and where we will meet.
This is a summary of the first ever NetWeavers Walk held in Barrie.
Netweavers met in Barrie for the first Netweavers "Pay it Forward" walk with the cooperation of:
- WINGS and HEROS Associates
- Local Chamber of Commerce or Board of Trade
- Economic Development
- Downtown Business Association.
- Friends or Family of the walkers
This NetWeaving imitative is very effective in introducing our often overlooked best kept secrets "OUR DOWNTOWN RETAIL STORES" Those who have shopped these stores and received great customer service are only to happy to be "Paying it Forward" by recommending they be included for a visit for the next NetWeavers walk.

Bringing Business-to-Business and Business to Community and Friends at a NetWeavers walk is truely a great way to "Pay it Forward".
There is NO COST to those participating in the walk
you pay for your own coffee and lunch,
and no COST to the stores

We start at a privately owned coffee shop that has been recommended we are introduced to the owner and she tells us about herself and the business.
Diane who recommended the first retail store for the walk introduced us to Karen Aubin from Magic Mountain. Karen told us about herself and the store. Then we shopped for about 1/2 hour.
Next Joan Oickle introduced us to Kevin Morris of Tropical North. We had such fun in this store and we were amazed at the products he carried.
What a special treat it was to learn about Liz Maw's favorite store uniquely called Saturday Aftrenoon. Kathy Watson made us feel so welcome. It was a pleasure to shop her store and I think we all bought something!
Everyone needs to know about Swanky Kids. We were happy that Diane Rusk introduced us to Jody Stevens.
Businesses that were coming on the walk were encouraged to bring along a friend, relative, or neighbour. What a fun way to meet new people all while getting to know our community and our downtown retail stores a little better.
Liz brought her charming mom and what fun we had with her!

"Now gals...this is how a blankie works"
We had such fun and we sure enjoyed meeting some new friends and getting to know our Associate members in a different light.
Our last stop of our morning was The Meeting Place. Yolanda prepared a very tasty lunch and we all relaxed and shared thoughts about the treasures and treats we discovered in the retail stores on Dunlop Street in Barrie. We passed many more that we look forward to visiting on another NetWeavers Walk.
