The pilot project of "Paying it Forward" in School: happened in October 2008 at Kempenfelt Bay School, Barrie. This was a very successful and well recieved event and we plan to visit more schools starting in the fall of 2009. Mrs. Deborah McGrath from Millar.McGrath Associates taught us three things. How to Introduce, Shake hands and Share one thing about ourself.

Next Mrs. Doran discussed how the BRACELETS will be passed around in our school. Mrs. Cleversey wrote our ideas of kindnesses on the board.

Each time we saw someone doing a kindness to another we will take our bracelet off commend them give and give them our bracelet and tell them to "Pay it Forward" when they see a "Kindnesses" in the school.

Next we talked about "BEAR"

Each team picked a bear for their team.

Each Bear is wearing a different coloured tee shirt with the school logo on it.

Each team member gets to take BEAR home for a week-end.

every_team_gets_a_journal_to_match_colour_of_bears_tee_shirt.gif Each student drew pictures or wrote about what BEAR saw in the way of "KINDNESS or GOING GREEN" when he visited your home, or when you had him shopping,visiting, at a restaurant,while you were playing with your friends etc. Parents were also encouraged to insert pictures if they wished and many did so.
