Diane first meet Bob when doing a web search for the word "NetWeaving" a word she at first thought she had coined. But to her surprise when she meet Bob Littell she discovered that he was the first to use the word NetWeaving. Diane's connection to Bob has been a positive one and with his consent WINGS and HEROS is introducing NetWeaving to Canada. Bob was also the one who connected WINGS and HEROS to be an affiliate of the Pay it Forward Foundation. A foundation started by Catherine Ryan Hyde author of the book that the movie was based on. Bob sits on the board of the foundation. This year they are having their FIRST Pay it Forward Convention...October 21 to 23, 2011

NetWeaving was not only the vision of Diane McGee founder of WINGS and HEROS, but was the creation of Bob Littell Chief NetWeaver. Diane has become a certified Ambassador of NetWeaving International and is spearheading NetWeaving Canada through communities by introducing them to "Pay it Forward" projects. WINGS and HEROS has refined many "Pay it Forward" initiatives and we look forward to others duplicating these ideas into their community. Why not put together "Pay it Forward" teams to duplicate these exciting concepts.
Diane has a strong belief that the introduction of NetWeaving and the "Pay it Forward" projects into WINGS and HEROS is a sensible and effective thing to do during these economically challenging times. These projects not only bring Business to Business but also bring Business to Community giving our member the opportunity to be part of a "Pay it Forward" project where they might meet people who they can build trusting relationships with which in time might turn out to be a good business contact.

"Pay it Forward" NetWeavers Walk.
"Pay it Forward" NetWeavers Walk. This concept is a fun way to bring Business & Community together. All organizations, Business Owners, and their friends are invited to be part of the walk.
The walk is organized by women who want to show off the downtown stores,it involves the Downtown Business Association, SNAP Newspaper and the charity we are supporting.
Starting place is a Coffee Shop, We visit recommended Retail Stores in the downtown area, We wrap up the walk at a recommended Restaurant. WALKERS, we need YOU to participate!!
We invite members of the Chambers or Board of Trades, BNI, and other networking or community groups to take part. Those who register for the walk are ask if you could wear something RED, hat,c oat, or scarf. We encourage you to bring someone along you prehaps someone who does NOT have a business. That way your business colleauges can get to meet your friends, family members or neigbours, banker, etc. Together we will be introduced our amazing downtown stores and enjoy a tottaly different shopping and networking experence! The walks starts with everyone who has registered meeting for coffee, lunch or breakfast. We are then introduced to the owner of the coffee shop and learn about the business and the owner. We then headout to visit the first of the retail stores that have been recommended. The same senario happens in each of the store we visit, we are introduced to the owner and we learn about the store...and then proceed to browse and shop the store for about 1/2 hour.
The stores who are recommended for the walk are all informed about the event and we make sure they would like to partake. A sign is placed in their window prior to the walk that says "We Have Been Recommended for the NetWeavers Walk" and a bouquet of RED balloons are placed in front of the store. After each team has visited the stores we gather back at a restaurant and compare notes about the stores and brag about our purchases and enjoy a mix and mingle.
If we do the walk in the late afternoon we invite the store owners to meet us at the wrap up restaurant and then everyone gets to meet all the store owners.
Walkers who wish are encouraged to donate to the local charity we are supporting the money will be Paid Forward at the Mix & Mingle to the charity.
This concept is very easy to duplicate into the downtown and any community and we welcome you to copy this idea...as long as it done as a local "Pay it Forwad" NetWeaving Event.
Please register with the team who is organizing the walk in your community. I look forward to seeing you ALL on the walk!

Everyone enjoys and benefits from a NetWeavers Walk!
